First I want to walk you through what Korean skin care is and why I feel like it's important.
Typically it is a 10 step routine. It consists of:
- Removing one's make-up
- Oil based cleanser
- Water based cleanser
- Toner
- Sheet mask
- Essence or facial spray
- Serum
- Eye Cream
- Light Moisturizer
- Deep Moisturizer
Taking care of one's skin is vitally important. I want to continue to look as young as I feel. Korean women believe that your skin must be moisturized and glowing to show youthfulness. Have you ever seen a Korean woman who did not look like she was 20 years younger than what she says? Exactly. This ten step routine will help to combat the signs of aging as well as keep our skin ultra moisturized.
We have been in Korea for a couple days and so far we've followed this routine well. It seems like a lot of steps but it's pretty easy once you make the time for it. And for me anyway, it helps takes the stress of the day away.
Note to self: make sure you know a few basic phrases before arriving in a new country.
Ok troops, I'm going to go have breakfast.
